Cuenca IPad Users Group

I'm certain that if I still lived in Oregon I could not get a dozen people at 11:00 am to come for a meeting every other week to discuss how to effectively use the IPad as a replacement for their computer. Being retired and living in a city where you can walk or take public transit everywhere certainly makes setting up a meeting easier.

This past meeting we set up a Facebook Group ( Cuenca IPad Users Group) so we can communicate online as well as in person. If you're visiting Cuenca come and join us even if you're just considering purchasing an IPad.

  1. Hi --

I'm a total Apple fan who is planning a move to Cuenca some time next year. So, I have been seriously concerned about iPhone, iPad issues in Ecuador. Glad to have found you!

Thanks for focusing on this issue as a part of your blog.

P.S. We lived in Oregon for 10 years (Portland) and loved it.

  3. Hi Lenny --

I have been looking for the iPad users group on FB, but can't seem to find it through the search function.

We are on track to move to Cuenca in April. As I write and edit (a lot), I will be bringing down with me a Macbook Air. My husband is a science fiction/fantasy writer and he is bringing down his computer, too.

I also have an older iPhone and am considering getting an iPad. And I am curious as to the advantage of the iPad over the newer iPhones. Also, are iPhones even doable in Cuenca these days?

What combination of equipment do you find useful?

    Thanks,

    Geri
